Hacky Sack.

With Squarewave, through North Kingdom, I built the highly animated brand site for the classic Hacky Sack. College students rejoiced.

Technical Challenges

The client wanted the animations and type to look squiggly, like the shows Dr. Katz or Home Movies. To create this effect, I converted the illustrations to vector and wrote a script that would offset the edges, frame-by-frame. Likewise, I wrote a small engine to play these animated files on demand in order to limit processor load.

Closing Thoughts

Sadly, this site is no longer out in the wild, but I was pretty proud of how it turned out. Projects that include animation and weird technical challenges pique my interest.
