Our Green Trail.
Boston Children’s Museum
Our Green Trail was an interactive Kiosk presentation that ran in the Boston Children’s Museum from around 2008 – 2015.
It was part of a scavenger hunt within the museum where patrons would interact with different “how to be green” stations throughout the museum, and then they would report back to this kiosk presentation to answer some questions and ultimately sign up for an account on a corresponding website.
Almighty was contracted to design and build the website and kiosk. I developed the front-end while James Cho designed the site and Jeff Wilder built the back-end. This was built in Adobe Flash / AIR.
It was great to see a project live and in person when I visited the BCM with my kids.
EXAMPLE OF THE INTERACTIVE STATIONS
These were designed by Matt Kirchman and Theory One Design. The images below come from Theory One Design’s website.

WEBSITE
Ultimately, patrons could bring the experience home by logging into this corresponding website. There, they could contribute to an online community by building their own virtual green-space. Unfortunately the web experience was built in Adobe Flash and no longer exists. It had some pretty great design and animation.
